36 Sessions of TMS with Therapy: Transforming Lives

36 sessions of TMS with therapy wow, we have a different person. We were hearing about TMS long before all the randomized control trials were done.

Non-Medication Innovation & Active Neuronal Growth

As we’ve started to dig deeper in the research we’re understanding that TMS, which is the use of magnets essentially, is not only non medication based, so for our clients who are really sensitive to medication it’s a great alternative. The results and the neuronal growth, active neuronal growth, that is hard to get as an adult is profound. Now that research has caught up with the practice based evidence we are true believers that TMS, for some, it’s not a one size fits all treatment, really does amazing work. We have some clients that did well in therapy, okay medication wise, 36 sessions of TMS with therapy wow, we have a different person looking at life and approaching life differently, having different affect and emotional range. It’s just a pleasure to know that we have a tool like that that we can use.

Breakthrough Results for OCD Treatment

With OCD treatment doing exposures before TMS and then during TMS we are seeing results of people’s subjective units of distress go down. People letting us know that you know in the evenings following or the weeks following that they’re compulsing less and they’re having less anxiety about the obsessive thoughts. We are starting to use TMS more and more for OCD.

Expanding Beyond Treatment-Resistant Depression

Generally you will see us recommend TMS with treatment resistant depression meaning medication that has not been helpful and therapy alone has not been helpful, but now with OCD it’s a wonderful tool that we’re seeing, yeah good results from.
