Sarah Douglas, originally from Ontario, Canada, earned her, bachelors degree in psychology from Trent University. She went on to earn her Master of Arts in psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Chapman University.
Sarah has worked in a number of different clinical settings working with individuals, couples, and families. She has spent the last 10+ years with the Veteran Affairs Long Beach Healthcare System working as a clinician in the Women’s Mental Health Center. Sarah has worked extensively with individuals who have experienced pervasive trauma and are suffering from complex PTSD, PTSD, personality disorders, depression, anxiety, and relational distress.
Sarah specializes in trauma-focused treatments including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). She has extensive training and experience facilitating comprehensive Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and is passionate about giving clients the skills to live fulfilling lives.
